My Background:

I am originally from a small town in Western Pennsylvania.  I was awarded a BA in History from Washington & Jefferson College, received my teaching credentials through St. Vincent College, and was awarded an MA in History from Salisbury University.  I earned a certificate of concentration in World History from the University of LaVerne, and have attended conferences focusing on the Middle East sponsored by the Foreign Policy Research Institute both at the Heinz Center and at Princeton University. I have also participated in a training session on using art to teach history at the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian.

I have been a public high school teacher since 1994, and have taught AP World History and AP European History, as well as World History, American Government, Psychology, and Economics.   I was the lead teacher in introducing the Advanced Placement World History course to Worcester County, and have been invited to score the national College Board AP exams since 2011.

I was also an adjunct professor of Education Specialties at Salisbury University.  I am former Snow Hill High School Teacher of the Year, and am listed in the Who’s Who of American High School Teachers.
